kwalters: THANK YOU. Can't wait till Monday. Two clues a week, how very generous and exciting. The DH09 is beautiful and in a special location, but my Dream will always be with the Green. I feel sure this home will have the Master Bedroom on the first floor and a universal floorplan would be a major plus, but the main thing to consider is the eco-friendly design. Where is it going to be built? Hope it will be in a northern state, because that would be a real inspiration for those of us that do. Thank you HGTV, for this contest and the encouragement to go green.

Is the clue in the picture of the Green Home drawn in the sand? OK....I'm noticing a door, 2 windows, and a chimney. LOL Those of you near the beach....does the sand look familiar? :)

Hi Green Home Bloggers !

I reckon the litle house icon was drawn in wet concrete :o) My guess is... a beach house green home for 2009 :o)
Sweet and awesome !

It is not in Florida's Panhandle because the sand on our beaches is white! Somewhere on the East Coast would be my guess.

It would be great if it was in Hawaii. I will say if its sunny and has waterfront, it could be on the California coast line. I wish you would build one in Montana; we have beautiful lakes and gorgeous mountains. Year round fun for all.

It would be wonderful if it was in Hawaii, The Big Island that is where I lived and taught elementary school on the Hilo side of the Island, in Hawaiian Beachs. But I would not complain anywhere the house was built.

Love, love, love the Green Home concept! Can't wait to find out all the details, especially the floor plan. Hmmm, can I put in my vote now for Bamboo flooring (totally renewable!) and a home office? (Very, very green!) How about making it super family friendly by having two kids rooms? (Then the office could also be a guest room, multi-tasking furniture is so eco-conscious!) Oh, wait! One more: A kitchen garden right outside. Just a green-dreamer here, I guess, lol.

Scavenger Hunts are a lot of fun, I hope it is some where, where it is nice and warm. Tell us what is next. How much longer do we have to waite, until we find out where it is.

Posted by Carol L. – October 17, 2008 3:49 PM

from the look of this home it is a single family home with big windows and has a sandy foundation

Posted by donna – October 18, 2008 3:13 PM

How about Chesapeake Bay?

Posted by janet – October 18, 2008 11:56 PM

I think the next green home will be in Louisiana.

Posted by sarah – October 20, 2008 10:04 AM

I am leaning toward conn. They get a lot of sunshine and also a good incentive program for solar.

Florida looks like the start of the new 2009 Green home. Still thinking about the city.

Posted by Cindy J – October 25, 2008 5:36 PM

After lots of thought, my guess is that it's going to be somewhere in Hawaii. Hope that I'm the winner!!!!

Posted by jeanne fainer – October 25, 2008 9:02 PM

It has to be Florida based on all the clues and clinched by the panther as the state animal.

Posted by carol – October 26, 2008 1:07 PM

I believe it is either Pensacola or Panama city Florida

Posted by carol – October 26, 2008 1:15 PM

The 2009 Green Home is in the State of Florida, very likely the Miami-Dade area.

Posted by Susan Plaza – October 26, 2008 7:51 PM
