Hi Kim,
We are in the process of moving into a new home and have met a dilema with the color of my kitchen wood cabinets and family room oak floors. My kitchen cabinets are light oak along with the entryway flooring which leads to the kitchen. I wanted to know how would our cherry wood furniture look paired up with the light oak floors. We have a round cherry wood kitchen table and our family room furniture is dark as well. Can I mix dark wood furniture with light oak floors and still make it work?? Thanks in advance Kim!!!!

Hello Kim,
First, I would like to tell you that I LOVE YOU AND YOUR SHOWS! They are awesome and have awaken my inner designer! (Smile) My dilema is about the same concerning my sliding glass door and vertical blinds, but I live in an apartment. My view is awesome and faces a 10 acre lake. But, there is a grassy area that surrounds the lake as well for those who live in my apartment community. I would like to have a window treatment, but something that would allow me to have privacy as well. Any suggestions?
Signed,
Aspiring, but confused! (LOL)

In the "modern morracon" episode was featured string curtains, how were they made or where they purchased?
Thank you, I love your show.

Hi Kim,
Love your show and your unique ideas.
I have two questions about Urban Modern Asian Bedroom/Glen and Zara.
How did you attach the River Rock Headboard?
How did you install the sliding stained window panels?
If I missed the process for the above two projects-sorry. But, would you please tell me how or if that show will be aired again.
Thanks for your time and your designer original ideas.

HI KIM,
TO START WITH LET ME SAY YOU ARE AWESOME. NEXT I WOULD LIKE SOME OF THAT AWESOME ADVICE. I HAVE A SOMEWHAT LARGE LIVING AREA BUT THE ROOM IS NOT SQUARE, OR IN OTHER WORDS,NO TWO WALLS HAVE THE SAME WIDTH. I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL RED SOFA AND CHAIR,AND I CANNOT FIGURE OUT THE BEST WAY TO ARRANGE THEM. ARE THERE ANY RULES TO FOLLOW. FYI, ONE OF THE WALLS HAS A DOUBLE WINDOW.

Hi Kim, I am new to the HGTV family and the whole decorating thing. My question is about windows. Are horizontal blinds a thing of the past? If so, what kind of covering would I use for an inside garage door that leads from the hall out into the garage. It has small square windows.
