Materials
Construction mesh
Silk fabric – 2 different colors
Wide ribbon
Hot glue gun
Light cord kit(s)
Steps
1. Cut a length of construction mesh to serve as your base.
2. Curve the mesh around itself so a portion overlaps. Secure together.
3. Insert your silk lining into the inner part of the cylinder, leaving enough silk to fold over the top of the cylinder. Be sure to line up the seam of the fabric with the seam in the mesh.
4. Hot glue the silk lining to the top of the mesh.
5. Wrap silk around the exterior of the cylinder and hot glue the fabric to the fold over the interior fabric.
6. Fold the wide ribbon over the top and bottom rim, gluing it down for a finished look.
7. Flush mount the light and cord kit so you don't see any of the hardware.

I love the look of this chandelier. I want to make one idetical to this one so can you tell me where to find the round base that goes between the light and ceiling? It looks like wood and I'm loving how it gives a finished look.

I also love this chandelier, and would like to know how you went about mounting this flush to the ceiling?
