Stuck on decorating.

Posted by etipton – July 7, 2008 12:47 PM

Vinyl letters are an easy way to alter most anything you own. Use them on walls, glass and other smooth surfaces to make every day items a little more your style. You can decorate your car, windows, laptops, closet doors, lockers or mirrors just to name a few. Vinyl letters and vinyl art typically last three to seven years once put in place. You can remove the pieces, but you can not use them again. One company that contacted me was Vinyled. One thing that makes this company different is that it is not a non-profit organization, but after expenses and taxes, all proceeds go to Global Ministry for Children with Autism and AKPC/Cambodia Mission funds. The have some really neat pieces, and they will also make custom Vinyled designs.Vinyled art pieces start around $40.

Submitted by you - Pot Sock-It.

Posted by etipton – July 27, 2007 1:45 PM

I received this lovely email from a reader the other day.
My wife loves plants. A few years ago, tired of looking at her hanging plants in their plain white plastic flower pots, she came up with an idea. She made covers for them from swimsuit material. We are now manufacturing them. It's called the "Pot Sock-It! Decorative Flowerpot Cover". Briefly, the Pot Sock-It is a simple, decorative stretchable sleeve designed to cover and enhance the appearance of a flower pot. The fabric and design allow the Pot Sock-It to tightly hug the contours of the flowerpot, retaining its' original shape and pattern. Also, because it's made of swimsuit material, it stands up well to the weather, resisting fade and dry-rot for years. It's available in many different colors, prints and patterns, and is a practical, easy, fun, smart and beautiful way to decorate! Simply slide the Pot Sock-It over your plain white flowerpot and you instantly have a new, gorgeous flower pot! You can learn more at www.potsockit.com. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
These look really cute, and would really help all the pots match regardless of what you hang or put out. Priced less than $10. Click for more pictures.

Submitted by you - SmudgeGuard

Posted by etipton – June 8, 2007 8:00 AM

Today is my first installment of "Submitted by you". I love it when someone decides they can build a better mousetrap. Jeannie sent me a link to her product Smudge Guard. It keeps the side of your hand clean from unwanted smudges, and eliminates or minimizes smudges off your work or artwork. I remember in school, my left-handed friend always had ink on her hand where it dragged over her writing. It is for left-handed or right-handed use. It is made of 87% Nylon and 13% Spandex. Visit her site at www.smudgeguard.com. Priced less than $10.
