I know I love them, but who wouldn't love these all-weather, luxurious, outdoor pillows? They have designer fabrics, tassels and trims, but they will not fade, and can be left outside year-round. Select from the corded scroll throw pillow, the center frame throw pillow or the scroll bolster pillow. The Carlisle Collection Outdoor Pillows are priced around $120.

I love this outdoor lamp from Frontgate. It is called the Montego Outdoor Lamp, and it has a combination of natural marble and solid brass construction. It includes an all-weather Sunbrella shade and is UL- listed for outdoor use. I think it would make a beautiful addition to your porch or patio. The Montego Outdoor Lamp is listed at $400 in their catalog, but is on sale for $299.

I don't know why I enjoy decorating for July 4th so very much. It might be because there are so many cute things to put outside. I'm pretty sure I posted these Patriotic Paper Lanterns last year, but I really just love them. They come in a set of three that includes two small patriotic stripe lanterns and one large fireworks lantern, with metal inserts for hanging. They would be so cute hanging on a porch or patio. The Patriotic Paper Lanterns are regularly around $20, but right now they are priced less than $10 for the set.
I probably watched the movie Pollyanna one time too many as a child, but I loved all their old-time patriotic decorations with their July 4th Celebration. Bunting is one of those things that just makes a house look so festive. We only use it for Patriotic holidays and summertime, but it is so charming. Thank goodness this Patriotic Bunting is made in the USA, and is priced starting at $25.

I am so sick of all this Red State, Blue State nonsense. I am not sure when we stopped being the United States, but they even make mugs about it now. While you won't see me carrying this mug around the office, it is a perfect gift for your political troublemaker.
The Republican version says Make My Day 2008. The mug turns all the states to red when filled with a hot beverage. It features stars, stripes, a Republican elephant and a dismayed Democrat donkey. The Red State mug is priced around $12.
The Blue State version says I Have A Dream 2008. The red states slowly turn to blue when a hot beverage is poured into the mug. It also features stars and stripes, but it has a frowning Republican elephant and Democrat donkey. The Blue State mug is also priced around $12.

We were on vacation last week, and it was extremely windy down by the pool and at the beach. My sister had these really neat towel clips that keep your towel attached to your chair. She swears we were with her when she bought them a few years ago at a drugstore, but none of us remember that trip. Being the internet savvy person I am, I got online and tracked them down. They are Boca Towel Clips. They come in a set of two, one for each side of your towel, and they are wonderful. Every time my sister got up and fetched the ball the girls had thrown out of the pool, or retrieved the shark out of the pool filter, her towel was still in place. We just got back yesterday, and I've already got an order for some on the way! The Boca Towel Clips are priced around $5 for a set of two.

We are not lucky enough to have a utility sink in our home. When my parents built their house, they put the sink in the garage. When you are cleaning outdoor items, have muddy shoes, or are dirty from planting flowers, you do not have to mess up the kitchen sink cleaning up. Many utility sinks are in laundry rooms. It seems like a great idea at the time, but laundry rooms are not always convenient to your mess. Someone decided the best place for a sink is outside. This ReelSmart™ Sink Station with Automatic Hose Reel is perfect for all of your outdoor cleaning chores. The roomy 24” wide sink has swivel faucet, water control switch, sink stopper and filter. Two fold-out shelves cover the sink to provide a large, flat work surface. The station also offers a sturdy shelf for storage of supplies as well as a water powered self-winding hose reel which stores up to 150’ of 5/8” hose. Simply unhook the hose, and you don't have to worry about winter freezes. This outdoor utility sink is priced around $150.

I want this Chocolate Spatula Thermometer. No, not because I make a lot of candy, but because when I do make candy, I usually do a really bad job with it. This gadget lets you easily keep track of the temperature of your melted chocolate. If chocolate gets too hot, it gets gritty, so this is wonderful. The thermometer alone would be enough, but then you also get a really nice spatula that is perfect to scrape that last bit of chocolate out of the pot. I can't wait for my thermometer to arrive. The Chocolate Spatula Thermometer is priced less than $20.

As a child, every year my grandmother and great-aunt would get a bushel of corn, shuck, strip, cook, and freeze the corn for use in the winter. It was delicious. Besides shucking the corn, the most time intensive part was removing the corn from the cob. Leave it to the great folks at OXO to build a better mousetrap in the world of corn shucking. The OXO Good Grips Corn Stripper is perfect for people with teeth difficulties, small children or just prefer corn off the cob. The stainless steel blade has a slight arch designed to fit neatly around the cob as it cuts. A half cup capacity container captures the removed stripped kernels of approximately one full cob. The convenient top opening allows you to easily pour out the collected kernels, and the entire container of the food preparation helper separates for simple cleaning. Now for the best part, it is even dishwasher safe! The OXO Good Grips Corn Stripper is priced around $10.

Now that I am a parent and a grown-up, the bath tub full of ice or the Styrofoam cooler just don't cut it for entertaining. You need something a little nicer and classier like a beverage tub. I really like this one from Rush Gideon. They offer a deep, recycled copper or stainless steel tub on a decorative stand. The tub holds numerous bottles on 20 pounds of ice or more. As a bonus, you can also use the tub and stand to display plants indoors or outside. The pretty stand folds for easy storage when not in use. The beverage tub and stand are priced less than $175.
