Dear fcole: Good morning! My fingers were actually shaking this morning when I entered for the HGTV Green Home Sweepstakes, and the GMC Yukon Hybrid, for the last time. Thank you to HGTV for giving someone a chance for a dream to come true...this home in Tradition Hilton Head, S.C. is absolutely the BEST!! I'm anxious to see what you have in store for us with a "green" surprise today. Have a GREAT weekend! Marie Miller

I would love to win this Dream Home. I was told I couldn't have kids and now have a daughter and would love for my fiance and I to have this home. It would be a nice treat for family and friends to go and get away.
P.S. I live by HGTV shows. You all have great ideas and incredible shows.

I would love to win this home and move to S.C. I am retired and desperately want to move out of Baltimore, Maryland. The crime here is getting worst. I want to move where it is safe and peaceful for the remaining of my life. After I pass I could leave my only son a great legency. My son had an axident and lost a thumb. Therefore it is difficult for him to get a good paying job, though he does work as a cashier in a store. He would not qualify for a home on his own these days.

Hi HGTV!
This house looks absolutely amazing. It's obvious that an incredible amount of creativity and hard work went into this house. My family and I have tried our best to green up our home but it can be costly. We would love to make this green home ours...and in beautiful South Carolina at that.I hope entering everyday since the beginning pays off for the Costello Family. Thanks for the opportunity!

Wishing the best of luck to all of us (myself included!), even if only one family can win the Green Home.
I am truly touched by the thoughts sent my way. Believe me, I am resting alot, and watching LOTS of HGTV. I'm sure that's good to help speed recovery, right?
FCOLE: WOULD YOU LET THE HGTV FOLKS KNOW THAT IF I WIN THE GREEN HOME, IT MIGHT TAKE ME A LITTLE LONGER THAN USUAL TO GET TO MY FRONT DOOR!

It would truly be a dream if the new house had a 2nd bedroom on the lower level and an easy acccess entry way so elderly parents or the disabled could enjoy the 2009 dream house too.

Hey BarbaraDimmick: What part of Georgia were you from? I was born in Americus & lived in Columbus until my family moved to California! Just curious! Marie Miller

Dear fcole: Although I am over joyed at the thought of living in Sonoma, I also know that the HGTV Green Home would create harmony and balance in my living environment. I love a home with Feng Shui, which translated literally means "wind" and "water". It is the Chinese philosophy that dates back 5000 years, when people sought ways to seek harmony between themselves and their environment. Which only reminds me of the Ancient Chinese poem, which describes desirable living conditions: "The winds are mild. The sun is bright. The water is clear. The trees are lush!!" The contemporary definition of Feng Shui is "the study of how we are affected by the environment, and how to manipulate our surroundings to enhance our lives and our fortunes". Today, Feng Shui relies on the same principles and theories to create a balanced flow of energy (chÕi) in our homes and our lives. A variety of Feng Shui principles and theories, such as the Five Elements, and how they can be used through design color and texture to balance and harmonize a room.

Thank you HGTV for offering a chance for someone to win the "Green Home", which has my Feng Shui written all over it!! Marie Miller

"The green house" is just phenomenal and what a wonderful giveaway. My husband, son and I have been coming to Hilton Head, on vacation for the past 17 years and we have always had a great time. We plan to retire in SC, so should we win, it would be a dream come true.
Thank you HGTV, for the chance.

Guess the finalists (whatever number that may be) for the Green Home 08 will be chosen on the 19th May, then notified, so don't fail to answer your phones, or check your emails, or whatever! I believe that Sunday, 8th June is the big HGTV hoe-down (televised finale) when the finalists are narrowed down to one HGTV GREEN HOME WINNER!
We are bound to see some real excitement this time. WILL YOU BE IN THE STUDIO AUDIENCE, FCOLE?

Posted by DBCoop – May 12, 2008 12:25 PM
