Our recent move from NYC to Knoxville has presented my family with unprecedented space. One of the ways we celebrated that development was to ditch our full-size bed for a king. Right now it's just a lonely frame (although we did spring for some Horchow high thread count sheets).
I haven't yet found the right headboard for the bed. In New York we used four wall-mounted panel lights from IKEA (note to IKEA: Please put more of your products online!) but those are much too small for the current space. I'd like to find something a little bit special and different to take their place.
This image from Serving Dish over at Redbook is what got me thinking:

I also like:
Martha Stewart wallpaper
(I love the look of the picket fence for a kid's room, but it doesn't seem quite safe.)
fabric on a bamboo pole (minus the ribbon)
nature-themed art
And of course HGTV Design Star finalist Alice Fakier has a ton of good ideas. I like the door headboard in the first video.

I'm going for a curtain rod for the king size bed with one of my many quilts draped over it.
