we bought a brick ranch in 2005. we thought it was our dream home. it looked like all we had to do was move in. there were things i wanted to change to my style. wrong. everything we have tried to do has turned into a major job. the ceramic tile in the kitchen was put in after the appliances, so we had to remove tile to replace everything. the door way to the finished basement was not wide enought to take our furniture down, we had to special order smaler couches. we have a big screen tv that we could not take down, so my husband took it apart and puy it back together . our our box springs for the bed did not fit down the steps, we took them apart and rebuilt them when . (rednecks). in our kitchen our fridge was too high so we had to cut the bottom of the cubords to make it fit. we want to update our great room but we are worried what we will find when we start on it. please help. it has been a nightmare. becky phillips

I am a film commissioner for Ocala, Florida.
We have some unique homes in this area including a home that is built in a rock quarry (valued
at several million dollars) and one made out of
tires.

You won't believe another story. Will last year I decided to take my retirement and invest in some property. Thinking that was a good idea....
Anyway, I would like to sell my personal residence, it is 9 miles from city, 3 acres beautiful place but I need help with it. desperate help. Would there ever be anyone in the Seymour IN area able to help. I watch and love these shows but would be delighted if someone would please help me. Come to my town. Thanks Lisa Murphy

Actually, I think HGTV inspired my daughter. It has to be your shows, because trust me, it was not an inherited gene. My daughter is so good with designing. She picked all the colors, cabinets, etc. for remodling our upstairs bathroom, and designed the complete remodel of our basement and again, picked out everything. Our upstairs bathroom has to be my favorite room in the house - it's an oasis! I know you're probably thinking what's so remarkable about my daughter helping design these things... - my daughter's only 14 (she was 12 when we did the bathroom and 13 when we did the basement).

I have looked at options for makeovers countless times. However, if you are not in certain geographic areas, there appears to be no options. (ex. San Diego for Color Splash, So. California for Outer Spaces, Chicago or Atlanta for Design on a Dime, etc...) I have an unusual situation and a beautiful location, but how can you get a makeover when you live on a magnificant lake with over 500 miles which just happens to be located in a rural Virginia location??

My husband and I are addicted to HGTV. Since we discovered the show last October, we hardly watch anything else on TV. We would love to have HGTV's designers come to our home and make it come alive. We really need help with lots of stuff. We would also really love to be on your Landscapers Challenge show. There's just one problem, HGTV only goes to certain cities and we don't live in any one of them. Please, please, please come to our home in Jacksonville, Florida and help us give our home some character :).

My daughter and I both have a chronic illness. She became ill at 31 and has been unable to work since then, she turns 46 this July 27th I became ill when I was 46 and just turned 67.

To simplify our lives and economize we moved in together.

She lives in the lower level of our raised ranch...and it is really disgusting, her bathroom has a tiny (meant to be missed) sink that is broken and this also is where the washer and dryer are located.

We both were professional women, she in Film (HBO), me in PR.

Thankfully we had disability insurance but it just about covers our expenses and I am no longer on this.

My daughter is so bright, funny, courageous but I feel so sad to think her life is so restrictive. She can not lift or do anything physical. Her only exercise is walking. I want her to move upstairs but she wants me to have the nicer space.

I know there are many people who write and I feel odd doing this but if there is any chance you would consider us for a bathroom remake I would be ecstatic.

I watch HGTV alot. It is my way of being stimualted by design, my passion.

We live in Woodstock, New York. Colony of the Arts. Amazing place to live. We moved here 2 weeks before September 11th And know we are blessed to live here.

My greatest dream would be to see my dear, beautiful daughter well. A redone bath would go along way to improve her life.

Thank you for any consideration.

All Good Things,
Lanee L. Barra
