Lately, we've showed you a lot green, eco-friendly designs, but I think it's time we give the color green a little love. Green is often used to create a calming environment, but it can also infuse a space with natural energy, depending on the shade.

Dig in to some of my favorite green rooms on HGTV.

Since blue absorbs light, designer Constance Ramos uses a green with more yellow in it to brighten this cottage-style bedroom.

In feng shui, the color green promotes growth, so designer Stephanie McWilliams uses the shade to create a wealth-enhancing home office.

Interesting. I am about to refinishing an attic 3 room apartment that I am going to move myself (and my ebay home business) into. I have been trying to pick out colors, so this was a good read! Thanks.154

I love the kids bedroom and the master. But i think the office and the dinning room were way to modern. I also thought thekitchen was dull.

When we moved into our new country home we wanted a very calming, serene environment. My decorator picked 5 different shades of green based on the light in each room. The effect is subtle, soothing and immediately makes everyone who enters our home at ease. We love it. All our guests comment on how much they love the greens and didn't expect to feel that way. No more death by beige for me. Give me green.

Everything I love seems to be green now. These are great samples of different greens. Now.. off to daydream about repainting.
