Adding your Pledge button to my blog! I'm addicted to design too. Constantly changing things. My husband says "It's a good thing I don't stay out late and come home in the dark, I would surely hurt myself on a piece of furniture that wasn't there when I left!"

Hello! I just added your Pledge Button to my sidebar! I love your buttons, very fun! I always feel badly for the rooms that fall victim to bad design, and I try to do my part to help out. Both in my real life work and on my blog. :-)
I am a new reader of your blog. I think you are doing a terrific job of aiding in the cause of good design, so I am happy to wear my badge proudly!

I love all the HGTV design shows. Had to stop my satellite TV due to financial problems from a divorce. I still look at all your websites. Love to all of you and I do take the design pledge.

Good idea! I do believe that design influences our life through influencing our way of thinking and I always try to help good design be accessible to more and more people. That is why I have added the button on my blog Trendoffice.

Question for Kim: Our kitchen/family room is rectangular and all open. The kitchen color is deeper mustard yellow (Lowe's Valspar "Corduroy" (now discontinued). We have stainless appliances, & are thinking of making our family room a deeper green (Lowe's Eddie Bauer's "Bayleaf." There isn't much natural light in the large area. The leather furniture is chestnut brown & we have cherry laminate flooring. In the family room end of the rectangular room, there is a white wall with built-ins & a gas fireplace. The white brightens up the space a bit. The ceiling is also white. I've noticed alot of lime/sage greens on HGTV shows, but these would be too light for our mustard yellow in the kitchen. To lighten up the area, we'd like to get an area rug that obviously is lighter, with ivory/olive tones, and get window treatments that have olive/mustard & burgundy tones & use burgundy accents. What are you thoughts on the deep green? We are really puzzled. By the way, what is the name/brand of the popular sage green color that we always see on most of HG's programs? Thanks for your input!
