One of the best things to come out of this season's Design Star was Sparkle Josh. Let's not kid ourselves here — I'm obsessed with him (and I've got proof). Suddenly, I found myself incredibly interested in glitz, glam and really good hair spray.
So when I was pulling together a feature on contemporary and modern wallpapers, I felt like I struck beads when I came across Maya Romanoff's Beadazzled wallpaper.
But that wallpaper was so 2002, you say. Well, the latest news from Romanoff is his collaboration with David Rockwell, whose resume includes architecture and design for hotels, restaurants, Gap Inc.'s retail brand and the set of Hairspray.

This is Rockwell's first try at surface material design, and it's easy to see why he's a great fit for Romanoff's collection. Just check out the texture and detail of these wall coverings debuting this month. It's like a party for your walls in the form of hand stitching, and felt and wool layering. So cozy — and I'm sure Sparkle would agree.

They should send wallpaper samples to Sparkle Josh and see what kinds of fabulous design work he would do with them! I heard that since DesignStar his business has been booming and he has picked up some top name clients!
