Back to the Future: Vintage Furniture

What's old is new again -- and it looks great. Twenty Gauge Vintage Furniture is original, vintage furniture that has been restored to it's former glory. They've got pieces for hip homes and offices everywhere.

For those who are detail oriented, here's how it works:

Originally used in government offices and schools, all pieces have been originally manufactured in the twentieth century with some pieces produced as early as the 1920's. Sourced across the country many pieces arrive in less than perfect condition due to their use in high-traffic areas. Twenty Gauge then puts each piece through an extensive seven-step process to achieve the perfect finish that the company is renowned for. Stripped back and sanded down to raw steel, the piece is then polished or painted to a color of your choice, then a final coat of clear varnish is the last process done for maximum shine and protection.

And for those who are visually oriented:

Would this work for you? There are lots companies copying the vintage look -- many pretty successfully -- but the fun of these pieces is in the authenticity.

OMG I love this table. I feel like it would look great in almost any room. My place is really girly and i think this table might give it more of an edge.

I really like those lockers. They remind me of my child hood, Gym class more specifically. I think they'd be cool in my daughters room. Thanks HGTV!

This is more of a question, i don't know if you can answer, but i'm curious as to what shapes are really in style these days- circles, squares, triangles, trapizoids,boomerang...
In other words, what is a clean, contemperary looking shape or color? I'm eleven yrs. old, and i want to be an interior designer when i'm older, and plan to gather info. until i'm old enough.
Also, how long to you have to go to school to become a designer, and what kind of effort does it take?
thanks for listening!
