I'm a little sick of your house shows. I loved the crafts ones. Why not have some more?

I AGREE WITH TERRY SUCH THE HOME SHOWS ARE HAS BEENS PLEASE RETURN TO THE HOW TO SHOWS. I ENJOYED AND LEARNED SO MUCH FROM THEM. THEY WERE VERY INSPIRATIONAL AND, I WHO HAVE NO TALENT, HAVE CREATED SOME AMAZING THINGS. MY HOUSE HAS TURNED INTO MY CANVAS.

I too would like to see some craft shows. I use to watch all the time and really miss Carol. Espically Saturday. This is the only day I can really sit down and watch a show.

I MISS ALL OF THE DESIGNERS AND CRAFTERS THAT WERE NOT "FLY BY NIGHT" AMATUERS! THE DESIGNERS THAT WERE NOT JUST THROWING ANYTHING TOGETHER, IN ORDER TO GET A "LOOK", WERE GENUINE. LIKE, KITTY BARTHOLAMEW. (WHOSE NAME I CAN'T REMEMBER THE SPELLING OF!) HOWEVER, KITTY AND CAROL, AND OTHERS WHO KNEW THIER CRAFT OR PRESENTED PEOPLE WHO WERE REALLY GIFTED. YOU HAVE LOST PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF, WHO WOULD BUY THE PRODUCTS USED, BE SIDES ENJOYING THESE PROGRAMS.
THANK YOU, FOR LISTENING.

I totally agree. I love the crafty shows that show things normal people can afford to do. I can't afford a DEVINE DESIGN so why should I watch it. One of my favs that needs to be updated and not so many re-runs FROM JUNKY TO FUNKY - I love this show but now it's all re-runs. They show the average crafty how to make nice things from old and discarded or how to update something we already have.

I do enjoy the house shows but oh how I miss the crafting shows. I love watching and getting ideas for my home. I loved the recycling shows that made new things for my home. Make them affordable for the "normal" people. $40,000 for a kitchen make-over is something most can't afford!!!

I couldn't agree more with these people. I've stopped watching HGTV almost completely. It seems that all the fun craft shows have dissappeared. The remodeling shows are interesting to a point but that seems to be all that is on anymore. Every once in a while I will check to see if a craft show is on but most of the time I'm disappointed. I guess you are just trying to live up to your name...Home and Garden TV....maybe someone will develop a crafting TV channel. I bet the viewership would be incredible... just imagine 24 hours of nonstop crafting!!!!! Well a crafter can dream, can't she? Hang in there crafters, maybe our voices will be heard!!

I'm about ready to quit watching this channel! I'm not trying to sell my house. More craft and owner re-doing, less buy & sell - PLEASE. The junk brothers and trash to treasure stuff is fun. I also like the "Whats with that house?" and "Extreme Homes" stuff.

I'm not sure how this thread ended up here but I am glad to see that so many people are sick of the home decorator and make over shows! I especially cant stand Divine Design, (no offense but she, the music, and the designs get on my last nerve!) I miss the arts and crafts shows too. I teach art and am always looking for easy, fast, and practical new ideas and used to love the shows on HGTV. And why do you not have the wonderful DIY craft shows anymore? I really enjoyed most of them and got some great ideas. Now I have to search online and would much rather see the demos on TV. I also like to see the yard and garden shows, they have gone completely! Just because one show makes it as popular does not mean we want to see it repeated over and over and over again. Changing the name and the designers does not make it different! I used to watch HGTV all the time, now very seldom.

It's nice to know that so many other people are thinking the same thoughts. A lot fewer home shows about buying and selling and more how-to shows.

I'd just like to thank you Camille, for posting one of my favorite jewelry creations-Floral Plum Neckalace-on your HGTV,Crafting with Camille,on your crafter's blog....it was a crafter that alerted me to the fact that you posted my creation or I wouldn't have known....I think it was a great idea of HGTV to have a "share my craft", so that all crafters could appreciate and see so many wonderful creations, Many Thanks to HGTV!!!!!! Oh, my crafter/designer name is Karolena!!!

I soooo need to see more crafting shows. I love the renovation shows, decorating shows, etc. but if I see another one I think I will scream. Lets get back to the art of handmade and see some more crafting going on around here. Holiday themed crafting, painting, trash to treasure projects, and more would be awesome!

I too am sick of all the house hunting, designed to sell, etc shows you have. What have you done with all the crafting shows.....WE MISS THEM. I hardly ever watch HGTV anymore because it is boring!!!!

Why can't crafters have their own network? HGTV used to have crafts and DIY used to have crafts, now not so much, hardly any. No new ones anyway. I would like to think there is enough interest that we could have our own network.
Thanks.
