I've recently started making lots of tiny little projects like digital camera cozies and cell-phone covers. They're fun and easy to make and make great little last-minute gifts. Knitty Gritty has some terrific little projects for you to try. And if you're like me, you'll soon be making your own variations on the theme I've provided.

I have a laptop at home but my office computer has a mouse, so why not make a mouse-shaped mouse cozy?

I may be the only person alive who doesn't own an iPod, but I can feel the time coming very soon when I will bite the bullet and buy one of my own. Of course it will need its own little carrying case to keep my tunes hot.

There's something so appealing about knitting with fake fur yarns, but sometimes you just get tired of making scarves (and face it, sometimes your friends run the other way when they see you coming toward them with a gift that just screams "hand-knit scarf!"). In a case like that, maybe this monitor cozy is just what the doctor ordered!

For the gal on the go, here's the coolest accessory yet: a hair band and iPod holder in one!

And finally, this project reminds me of those sultry gun molls in old gangster movies. But you don't have to pack heat with this nifty little garter: it holds your money, a lipstick, house key…those tiny necessities you always need to keep handy.

I hope some of these tiny trinkets will get you started designing your own projects. Half the fun of knitting smaller items is experimenting, so have at it and let me know what you come up with.
