A lot of you have commented on the timing of our craft shows in your area. Honestly, I have no say in scheduling for either HGTV or DIY and I hear your pain about the early air times -- believe me, I'm still happily asnooze when many of these shows air. To make things a bit easier for those of you who tape or DVR their favorite craft shows to enjoy at a more civilized hour, I've pulled together a list of the current air times for both networks.
HGTV Craft Shows for Eastern and Pacific Time Zones:
Monday: 6:30 AM: Craft Lab
Tuesday 6:30 AM: Scrapbooking
Wednesday 6:30 AM: B. Original
Thursday 6:30 AM: Creative Juice
Friday 6:30 AM: Knitty Gritty
Monday 7:30 AM: Carol Duvall Show
Tuesday 7:30 AM: Simply Quilts
Wednesday 7:30 AM: Carol Duvall Show
Thursday 7:30 AM: Simply Quilts
Friday 7:30 AM: Carol Duvall Show
DIY Craft Shows for Eastern and Pacific Time Zones:
Weekdays Noon Eastern / 9 AM Pacific: Martha Stewart Crafts
Monday 12:30PM Eastern / 9:30 AM Pacific: Carol Duvall Show
Tuesday 12:30PM Eastern / 9:30 AM Pacific: Creative Juice
Wednesday 12:30PM Eastern / 9:30 AMPacific: Carol Duvall Show
Thursday 12:30PM Eastern / 9:30 AM Pacific: Creative Juice

And finally for the yarn-obsessed early riser:
Weekdays 5:30 AM Eastern / 2:30 AM Pacific: Knitty Gritty
There are currently no DIY or HGTV craft shows scheduled for the weekends, but who knows, our Programming Departments tweak the schedules all the time. If one of your favorite shows suddenly isn't on -- don't panic -- chances are it has simply been moved to another time slot. Check the HGTV Program Guide or DIY Program Guide to find its new time. The Program Guides are also handy if you live in Mountain or Central time zones, allowing you to see a week of programming at a glance and select which time zone you'd like the results to display.
Well, happy crafting everyone! There are a few schedule changes on the horizon for this fall, I'll let you guys know when those changes take effect.

Can't wait to see more NEW episodes of Craft Lab, Knitty Gritty and other craft shows! Seems to be all re-runs, here's my plea for new episodes :)

Hi, not only is it the scheduling times, it is the LACK of craft shows........in the beginning, I was thrilled with the variety of shows you had dealing with crafts.....now all I see is pimp my house or something about how to sell your house or how it was when I first had my home...........come on, bring back some sewing shows and general useful crafting shows...........

I am so disappointed with HGTV scheduling of craft shows of late. Who is going to get up at 5:30 in the morning to watch a craft show. I've worked for 35 years and and now am retiring 6/30/08. I was so looking forward to watching crafts on HGTV but I'm not getting up at 5:30 am to watch anything. I've been a loyal fan of HGTV's crafting shows since 1994. I am sick to death of real estate shows and how to sell my house or what is it worth! Please bring back crafts at a decent viewing hour.

I too am disappointed in the scheduling at HGTV. Along with the lack of Crafting programming, I miss the antiques, and of course gardening. I now set my recorder so I can watch Gardening by the Yard because it comes on at 4 am in my area. So disappointing. In case no one has heard your home isn't what it was worth 6 months ago, so please eliminate that show.....please!

Oh, Baby, you just hit a sore spot with me...first walmart takes out the fabric/crafts from our store, where we are 1 1/2 hours from any store that has thread!!! then HGTV takes off all the good shows...I loved the quilting show, then carol Duval..missing Crafters Coast to coast, they keep changing the times...they need to keep all the craft shows together..just like all the Real Estate and house flipping together...what are these people thinking...oh, it must be a MAN that is doing the programing, cuz a woman would be more organized..........just what I told Walmart...they just don't know what they are doing to the people that sew/craft...just remember, the baby boomers are moving up, and they will have tons of time on their hands...and want to watch crafting shows and sit and craft themselves...am I right??????????

I agree 200 %.... I, too, miss the craft shows and inspiration... jewelry making, knitting, making things, that's what I do for relaxation. Please Bring them all back and put them on when we can watch them. Even my husband, who shoulder surfs, is getting tired of the housing shows...how many times can you watch paint dry...and what's with the Man shows all day on the weekend... He's watching racing and sports...and Cops... Give me back the arts and crafts...

I was wondering why I could never find a craft show. Instead it's all home improvement, moving up, fixing up for resale. Okay, that's all so last month, and many of them are repeats. Why isn't there any craft shows on the weekends? Has HGTV taken a look at Etsy.com lately? Have they done a search on blogspot to see just how many people are crafting and posting photos and instructions for their projects? There's far more people out there who are likely to take up a craft than there are who are likely to drop $600K on a fixer-upper in California, and put another $100K in cleaning it up and hoping it sells. So why aren't we being entertained?

I have the same problem. I watched HGTV much more when they had all the craft shows at a decent hour.
Now I hardly watch it at all.
Hope someone at the network it reading these comments and changes the programing.
Bring back our craft shows!

Well, now Simply Quilts and Carol Duvall have been removed entirely!! It's a shame, and I just don't understand how this network can continue to ignore so many viewers and their wishes.

Dear HGTV,
Please bring back the Carol Duvall Show and Simply Quilts - they were my favorite shows on your channel.
Now, there's nothing for me to watch. I don't have a home - just an apartment - and I sure don't have a garden and pool. I am not looking to buy/sell a house and remake my backyard into a luxurious spa, so there's nothing of interest anymore.
HGTV used to be my favorite channel, but I just won't spend my time watching rich people tearing down houses just to make a bigger house for themselves.
Please bring back some of the dear crafting ladies we're grown to love.
Thank you.

Where are all the craft shows going? Now Carol Duvall is gone. She had really great crafters on her show and many crafts looked like quality items. All I see on HGTV now are shows on flipping houses, buying houses... Doesn't anyone there at the station know that many people are undergoing forclosures? Whose buying anyway? Houses are staying on the market well below their original costs. PLEASE BRING BACK OUR CRAFT SHOWS!

I too am disappointed with the lack of craft shows. I love watching crafting. How many times can I see how to sell, fix or find out what a house is worth? Please think of your original audience. I started watching for the crafting.

I am so disappointed hgtv has removed all it's craft shows except for those shown at an unreasonable time. We don't need constant shows of houses & remodeling...we need shows for regular people who like to make things...that is what made hgtv great in the beginning. Now it's not great anymore. DirecTV doesn't include DIY on it's normal channel selection. So you have to be rich to get craft shows!!!

amen
has anyone told the execs at HGTV & DIY that crafting & especially scrapbooking is a billion dollar industry. Everyone who has commented is right, enough already with the real estate shows. Bring on the crafts & decorating the houses we can't sell!!!

I feel like HGTV has abandoned the people who made it a viable network. In the beginning they had lots of crafts and gardening shows and we turned to them to watch. Now all they seem to care about is selling houses and buying houses. I have a home and I really don't care about some spoiled rich kids buying a house or what a house costs in Milan. I don't have a lot of spare time to watch TV. As a result I don't spend a lot of time watching HGTV anymore. I can hire any idiot off the street to decorate my house badly, I don't really need instructions from the Design Star winners or the Design on a Dime know-nothings to guide me in that direction.
