Do-it-Herself Painted Hammer created by CherylWalker. To create the perfect gift for a first time homebuyer or general do-it-herselfer, just add a big bow and gift card to her favorite home improvement store. I mean, what girl wouldn't love her own brightly colored hammer, plus she'd certainly never have to worry about her husband or boyfriend "borrowing" it.

Painted Vintage Cake Box created by PaintingIsMyPassion. What a whimsical way to embellish a vintage find. Reminiscent of Mackenzie-Childs designs, these painted details really put the icing on the cake.

Painted School Desk created by ColorMeFun. I occasionally see these old school desks when I'm hunting for antiques and they're always very reasonably priced. This painted version would make a great side table or nightstand. If they're too tall, simply cut the legs to the right height. The added bonus with these old desks is the bit of storage concealed under the hinged lid.

Wish I could watch any craft shows at night. I'm tired of all the "home improvement" shows. I can't even watch one on the weekend. What Gives!

I FEEL THE SAME-WHAT GIVES-NO CRAFTS ON HGTV EXCEPT RERUNS OF CAROL DUVALL.

I agree. While I will always love Carol Duvall and her shows, they are broadcast a bit too early for me. I wish we could not only see her reruns later in the day, but also other shows of a crafting nature. I am betting MANY viewers feel the same!

Would like to see Painting classes and Decorative Painting classes and craft shows like Carol Duvall. Have enjoyed them in the past years.

I have two lamps that are about 20 years old. Part of the lamp are gold and parts are pewter in color and the finish is smooth. The gold is wearing off. I love the lamps and would like to repaint them in a brushed silver color. What advice can anyone give me about getting the paint to stick and what kind to use? Thanks! Candace

I am so tired of real estate shows! I miss the decorating, gardening, and craft shows. It seems like every night's programming is just more of the same. But I DO love "Design Star"!

Enough real estate shows. Why were the craft shows taken off? Love craft shows, decorating shows and Design Star. Bring back Carol Duvall, Alex Anderson, etc.!!
